I totally remember that show at the Citrus Pavilion! It was raining that night, and we were standing in the back for the opening act (Weapon of Choice). Didn’t realize it at first, but we were standing next to Chad and Adam Raspler. Think they were kind of bummed that someone threw their shoe at the band, hahaha. After the show, in the parking lot, a guy walked up to me and gave me a demo cassette tape for his band. It was Lance Dirk. The demo was ‘Anti-Gravity’ by Incubus. Way cool. Anyway, pretty rad for a fan to be able to attend so many shows. Never been in the cards for me to do that, but I’ll continue to be the crazy 311 fan that I’ve been for 20 years. Rock on Julie….

Wow, excellent story! My wife and I had the pleasure to meet Julie & her husband at the Pow Wow and rocked out with them for the first night 311 performed. Very kind and heartfelt kind of person that could talk to anyone. She definitely is the most dedicated & hardcore fan I’ve ever met. Also, great write up!

Just like Sandra, I am very LUCKY to have met Julie in 2001 and proud to say she has become one of my closest friends. I can’t wait for the celebration we have when she reaches #311! Love ya Julie G! Also, great write up Alyssa!

I feel very fortunate to have known Julie for so long, she always tries to expose people to 311 shows and wants to include everyone in the party. She’ll get to show #311 soon enough and I hope I’m right by her side! <3 you Julie!!
