311 typically perform cover songs at Halloween and 311 Day shows. In addition to the covers linked below, 311 also performed a cover of Hank Williams’ “Hey Good Lookin’” at the 2003 Halloween show in West Palm Beach (I cannot find an audio or video recording of this anywhere). Additionally, 311 covered Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls” in Kansas City on April 10, 2002 (I have not been able to find a recording of that performance, either). Note: 311′s cover of “Reggae Got Soul” has never been performed live.

I was at the infamous 1999 Halloween show in Atl at the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle is an old church, with large organ pipes in the background, etc. We were on the second tier looking down right of Tim M. This was the same event where the couple was in nude costumes I believe. Tons of fun, I have some old photos from that show. I thought Sexton’s costume was the best. I believe he went as ragitty-anne(sp). Nick took his wig off after just a few songs. P-Nut was excellent as the devil, but of course. I have posted all over your site tonight. Thanks for posting all this rare material!! Please keep it up, or for at least the next 40 years.
