The 1999 Halloween show was 311′s fourth Halloween show, and its first at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. The show featured a cover of Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child of Mine” and rarities such as “Rollin,” “Summer Of Love,” and “Gap.” The Soundsystem album had just come out 19 days earlier, so it was probably very exciting for fans to hear new songs such as “Freeze Time,” “Life’s Not A Race,” and “Can’t Fade Me” live!
The band was decked out in full costumes, with Nick dressed as an 80′s rocker (Axl Rose?), SA as a matador (skeleton face paint), Tim as Slash, P-Nut as a devil-looking character, and Chad as Raggedy Ann.
Many thanks to Terri Sapp for capturing this rare recording!
