A new record was set once again at 311 Day in 2004 when the band played their longest setlist to date – 68 songs (nine more than in 2002). The concert lasted five hours, with one intermission taking place after the 42nd song.
The show featured lots of great on-stage entertainment, including various types of dancers, fire jugglers, costumed characters, stilt walkers and more. The setlist consisted of rarities such as Jupiter (last played in 1997) and Cali Soca (last played in 2000); cover songs (D’yer Mak’er, White Man (In Hammersmith Palais); live debuts (Seems Uncertain, Juan Bond, Outside, and Sometimes Jacks Rule The Realm); and various other b-sides and very old songs.
The concert was filmed and later released on DVD on October 26, 2004. Below is the original soundboard audio recording, which sounds a bit different than what you hear on the DVD. Be sure to listen to the TRUE performances of “Random” and “Omaha Stylee” – they definitely fixed up the audio on the DVD to make these sound better/more complete!
